Soccer, I’d always thought, was a game for wimps. I’d never shown the slightest interest in it, and I wouldn’t have been able to tell you the difference between a lob and a through ball if I tried.

It was pretty much a forgone conclusion that Insomniac would eventually make a third Resistance title, but we’re not so sure this was the way they intended to announce it. NeoGAF member goldsoundz posted a couple of pictures from the set of a new movie filming in Shreveport, Louisiana, and one prop on the set stood out in particular: a billboard for Resistance 3. Looks like our friends at Sony Playstation New Zealand have been busy putting together an Epic Treasure Hunt.

There is no other form of motor racing that offers the wide-ranging possibilities and sheer terror filled adrenaline pumping rides as off road racing. There is also no other games developer that can quite nail the experience as good as Codemasters. As GRID was a departure from what fans expecting from the Race Driver series, so Dirt 2 makes some serious changes, appealing to a wider ranging audience by giving Dirt 2 and X-Games feel to it, and straying away from the pure rally focus, incorporating a range of disciplines that makes the game much more accessible and more enjoyable. The band U2 is interested in their own Rock Band treatment, according to a report on USA Today. The bassist Adam Clayton commented on the band’s past with music games and how that perception was changed with The Beatles Rock Band. “We definitely would like to be in there, but we felt some compromises weren’t what we wanted,” he said. “That could change. I love the idea that that’s where people are getting music, and we’d love to be in that world. We’ll figure something out. What The Beatles have done, where the animation is much more representative of them, is what we’re interested in, rather than the one-size-fits-all animation.
